Frank Creech Art Gallery Fundraiser at Johnston Community Art

I took a ceramic class with Frank Creech. And the funny thing was, Tyler, my son, had Mrs. Creech for his 5th grade teacher.

Frank was a good teacher and I learned a lot for the little time I had class with him. I also learned that he didn’t like it when you brushed on the glaze instead of globing it, or pouring it on. He was frustrated with me a few times for brushing it on thin. I still haven’t gotten the knack of applying glaze and I think of Frank every-time I apply it to a piece.

But if you are local to the area of Johnston County NC, they are offering raffle tickets, donation $1, for a $150 gas card. All proceeds go towards the Frank Creech Art Gallery Fundraiser.

Boswell Williams - Local NC Artist

I met Boswell Williams at the center last night. He brought a couple of his paintings to exhibit in the Gallery. They were phenomenal to say the least.

Boswell was full of information - he even gave me a few pointers on a painting I’m working on - and had just recently returned from Texas were his work is exhibited. He is also exhibiting in New York, Atlanta, and I believe there were a few other places. But we had a nice talk about art, exhibiting and promoting art.

Check out his work at http://www.tafariwillsfineart.com/ I think you will be awe struck as I was. The paintings are much better in person though.

Have a Artfilled day!
