Penny Evans - Local NC Artist
Thursday, January 3, 2008 by Donna.
If you love whimsical, you’ll love Penny’s work. Her paintings are full of color and whimsical characters and her palm fronds have a face all of their own. Each is a unique piece with humanistic characteristic - a ”humanique.”
Penny is the oldest of five girls. She lives in Clayton, NC and comes from a long line of Artist. She was formally trained at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh late in life and has had a long career in advertising.
Penny works from her home studios and has exhibited in local gallery’s around North Carolina.
“I’ve never been limited by format boundaries. I am most often in my home-studio painting, sculpting or simply ‘creating’ my feelings into something tangible.”
To learn more about Penny and her art, visit her website http://www.humaniques.com/, drop her an email with questions or comments about her work. She would love to her from you.
